Beyond the Forests is a photographic journey captured entirely on film during a solitary winter train trip through Transylvania, Romania. Snow, fog, and silence transform the landscape into a suspended world, where life appears in fragments: a gesture, a face at a window, the quiet rhythm of the railway.

This is not only a visual diary of a frozen landscape. It is also an effort to move beyond beyond forests, beyond preconceived narratives, beyond the stereotypes that still shape how we imagine certain regions and their people. Transylvania is often romanticized, exoticized, or reduced to myth. This work resists those simplifications.
